Facebook and Twitter (on status updates) looked the same on the surface. But on Facebook and on early Twitter it was more about status updates (what are you doing) instead of your thought about X (politics, tech, ...). How can make it more friendlier? Make it more visual? Require real names?
Before Musk it was super left leaning. Now we are in the other end of it. Both not good. AI fact checking everytime you post would be nice, because there is just too much of intentional misrepresentation of content and the community notes are not enough.
But yea, the monetization of engagement has really incentivized rage bait content.
